A Noisy Mission Statement – I

‘A Noisy Project’ is not a roaring political protest, neither a temple celebration of dragon and lion dance, nor some foolish oral fights. The noise could be as bizarre as the absurdity and creativity of Dionysus, the god of wine in Greek mythology. Here, ‘absurd noise’ could mean a primal sound or movement without constrain, a natural release and balance in time and space.

‘A Noisy Project’ listens to the nonsense murmur in Dadaism and the scream of rebel in Fluxus. In the fringe of a city space and in the stillness of the busiest location, the dust spread through time was reorganised, body was moved and voice was screamed in between the sweating and evaporating of sweat, the forgotten memories were collected and unknown spaces were exploited. Thus the noisemakers connect surreal identity and sit in between the prosperity and solitaries. They stroke abandoned or peculiar objects and at the same time sing/mourn in irresistible modern ceremonial/mundane prayers.
